If Men are everywhere, the gas station, school, work, the club, church, why is it so hard for some women to find a good man? While we are young we aren’t necessarily looking for a Husband but how about a guy who’s honest, fun, educated, working and too mature to play games.
I’ve lived in Los Angeles my whole life and as I’ve gotten older, wiser and more mature I find and hear that it’s a challenge for a lot of women, black women in particular, to find a good man, especially in LA. If she’s looking for a good Black man, some say its nearly impossible, and personally I would agree.
While a good man is hard to find, once he FINDS YOU its worth the wait, trust me! Part of the problem is, a lot of us don’t like to wait. We want Mr. Right, Right now! Too often in our haste to find him we settle for the first, half decent, man to tell us what we want to hear (and they are so good and it aren't they?) When we really don’t want to wait we go out and look for him. We make the first move. We plan the first date, pick him up and end up paying for it all. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with introducing yourself to a man and being interested but there is something wrong if you have to hint, hint, shove, shove your number into his phone.
The truth of the matter is it’s not always fun to sit at
home on a Friday night or be out on the town for ANOTHER girl’s night out! What
I found is when you least expect it he’s right there. When you are working on
yourself and getting your stuff together he’ll find you. As women we don’t have to do much. If a
dude likes you he’ll show you. He’ll call when he says he’s going to call.
He’ll make the effort, and if he doesn’t, Oh well! Word of advice there’s no
rush, and please don’t settle. There are good men out here sometimes you just
have to wait for him to find you, but in the mean time have fun, do you!

The wait is over! Grammy award winning Gospel/R&B Duo Mary Mary’s new album The Sound is in stores and online today.
The Sound is the groups’ first full-length studio album since their 2005 self-titled gold album Mary Mary. The new joint features the lead single “Get Up” an up-tempo, pop-infused praise track. “That song embodies what the whole album is about," says Mary Mary's Erica Campbell. "It asks people, 'Why are you waiting? Why do you care what other people think?' It reminds us that your beginning can be whenever you want it to be."
These Singing Sisters from Inglewood, California broke onto the scene in 2000 with their Platinum debut album Thankful featuring their crossover hit “Shackles (Praise You).” Followed by their 2002 sophomore album Incredible which garnered more awards and accolades with hits such as “In The Morning” and “Thank You” featuring Kirk Franklin.
These Sister don’t just "Sang" they are also businesswomen. In an Interview with Essence Magazine the Sisters introduced their new Bath and Body product line “Be You” which will hit Walmart stores in December. But that’s not all they were talking about; they also revealed their feeling about Christian Stereotypes, Sex, Abstinence and Loving God.
I, for one, am glad they brought up the subject because its one of those things that are on young people’s minds. To find out what they had to say check out the article on essence.com
If you have an opinion, comment, or question about Sex, Abstinence, loving God and dating the “Christian way” hit me up at letstalk@realtalkradioshow.com and let’s talk about it, and maybe you can be a guest on the next Real Talk Radio Show Premiering October 31st on LATalkRadio.com

Real Talk Radio Show.com is the place to be October 31, 2008 from 8-9 pm. I know its Halloween, but lets keep it real unless you’re in elementary school its really not that big of a deal. For some of us Halloween isn’t even a real holiday. For those of us who grew up with C.O.G.I.C (Excuse me) Christian parents or grandparents it’s the Devil’s Holiday, so you’re either at church or at home, anyway.
Keeping it moving, I’m the host and creator of the Real Talk Radio Show and I’m working really hard to put together a really HOT show that you don’t want to miss. We’re talking about everything from relationships to religion, politics to pop culture, love, life and everything in between from a young educated person’s perspective, OK!!!
Have you noticed that most talk radio shows are for old people??? I mean do young people not have an opinion??? Society is always talking ABOUT us but now its time for us to discuss what’s really good! WE are the future, and the future is NOW!!!
So be sure to check out the show from 8-9 pm every Friday. Also make sure to check the Blog regularly.
